Grammy Nomination

Published on January 30, 2009 by in News

Comrades,

The Grammy nominations were released about a month ago, which I would have reported on earlier, but there seemed to have been a mistake. I had to double, and triple check it, and then make some phone calls. ‘Mercy’ wasn’t nominated for a single category. Naturally, I first checked the ‘Best Album’ category. Nothing. Hmmmm. ‘Best Record’? Nope. I scanned through all the pages, ‘Best Flamenco Single’? Nada. Oh dear, how could this have happened? Of course it must have just been a simple clerical mistake…

So after a few (hundred) phone calls, and patiently knocking (all day) on the Recording Academy’s door it seems I have finally become the (only) nominee for a new category:

‘Best Indie Musician Restraining Order’ – Saint John and the Revelations

Mmmmmmm, I look pretty good in a tux.

Phew,

SJ
