We are going to be playing some tunes at the Seamonster Lounge this Thursday (13 Sept) in Wallingford. We’ll be opening the show for the Suffering Fuckheads. I think they play Mormon kids music, but I could be wrong.

One of my new favourite places to play is Bernard’s on Seneca, between 3rd and 4th. It’s a really super cool old bar underneath the Hotel Seattle, and the host, Joe, makes sure the sound is good for the whole room. Bonus: 1980s drink prices. We have a show there next Friday (Aug 31), you should come around!

One of the prettiest voices ever, Lisa Hannigan:

She’s on tour around America and then off to Europe. Go see one of her shows, you will not be disappointed. I saw her show at the Tractor in Seattle, and it was lots of fun, and her voice is perfection. Yes, I may have already mentioned that her voice is beautiful, but that kind of truth can stand repeating.
