Happy Spring to all my northern hemisphere friends! It seems like Spring has started right on time here in the Pacific Northwest, the flowers are blooming gorgeously.
Also, NPR is having a Tiny Desk Contest for artists to submit to get featured on their Tiny Desk Concert series, so Phil and I snuck into the Oval Office to record a live version of ‘Madman’ for submission:
Security at the White House is super lax these days, just tell them you’re Russian and they let you right in.
We had a superb show at the Hi Fidelity Lounge last Saturday, we recorded video and audio but there’s gigabytes of data to go through so give us a little time before we see some of that. However, in the meantime here are some pics from the show:
Friends around Ballard, join us at Hattie’s Hat this Sunday for a very fun (and FREE) duo show, I’ll have Phil with me on cello and we’re digging in to some songs we don’t get to perform very often. Aaron Semer will also be delighting your ears and souls, we start at 8PM, see you soon!
Rad live music loving folks of Monroe WA, Phil (rock-and-roll cello wizard) and I are coming to perform a whole bunch of tunes for you tonight at Twin Rivers Brewing Co., 8-10PM. You are going to love it, guaranteed.
Our shows keep getting better and better, it’s very satisfying and fun to get a whole bunch of lovely people in a room with live music. Here’s our schedule for this week if you’d like to join us for some fun:
Friday April 24 at Twin Rivers Brewing in Monroe WA (duo show w/cello). 8PM. Phil and I are playing better than ever, come and check us out.
Saturday, April 25 at Pies and Pints in Seattle WA. 8PM. Also with Traverdan, a very good Seattle based singer-songwriter, you will be delighted, guaranteed.
My Happy Hour shows at Bernard’s are still the most reliable bet for good music and fun in Seattle on a weekly basis, and this week I’m going to perform a song in tribute to the recently departed Percy Sledge. Wednesday, 5-7PM.
Seattle area friends, let’s get together tonight for some live music and good times at the historic Central Saloon in Pioneer Square, 9:30PM.
Jamie Jaramillo will start the evening off by delighting your ears and souls, and then Phil (rock-and-roll cello wizard) and I will take the stage shortly after with some fun alt-folk-rock-rhythm-&-blues!
This is going to be a great show, bring some friends!
Seattle area friends, I’ve got a great show lined up at the Central Saloon in Pioneer Square on Friday Jan 30, Phil (rock-and-roll cello wizard) will be joining me, and Jamie Jaramillo will open the night with some super lovely tunes. Join us and bring some friends, we’re going to have a fun night!
Tonight, I am performing for the 200th time this year! I’ll be at the White Horse Tavern with Phil Hirschi on cello, and we’ll perform completely acoustic, no amps or mics.
White Horse Tavern
1908 Post Alley, Seattle (near Kells)
This is one of the coolest little hidden bars in Seattle, it has a very relaxed old English tavern vibe. I’m going to be celebrating a bit, this is by far the most often I’ve ever performed in a year, and all of the work has been very good for my music, performance ability, and overall well-being.
I’m performing a show with Phil Hirschi (cello) at Hattie’s Hat in Ballard, Seattle, Sunday October 26 at 8PM. We’ll also have a full band backing us up, including an upright bass, mandolin, saw, and drums.
Hattie’s Hat is a great listening room, we’re going to have a super fun night!
