Seattle friends, we put together a super rad show with the Zach Rourke Band, the Colin Bradford Band, and us, at the Central Saloon in Pioneer Square for Friday, Nov 15.
I’m going to be playing with the full band and various musicians, including Phil Hirschi on cello.

Guaranteed good time.
See you there!

I met Lou Reed briefly a few years back in New York, it was a fittingly odd and fun experience. He was a fearless music pioneer and forced songwriters to be more honest.
R.I.P. Lou Reed, your cutting and stark lyrics and music will be with us for a long time.
Love,
SJ
I made a quick trip down to Portland, Oregon, over the weekend to sing some songs at the Mississippi Pizza Pub (their fancy veggie pizza was delicious), and had such a great time that I can’t wait to come back to Portland next month.
The venue was fun, the people were cool (as Portland people usual are), I got to hang out with good friends, and the other bands (Daniel Kirkpatrick and the Bayonets, and Redwood Son) were fekkin great!
Here is a quick pic of Redwood Son (I highly recommend checking them out):
You can find their songs and other good stuff here: http://www.reverbnation.com/redwoodson
Portland, I’ll see you again soon!

Hi Washington friends,
I was just told that one of my songs, ‘Hear Me Now’, will be played on KCWU 88.1 FM ‘The Burg’ nearby Central Washington University.
They said they’ll add it to their list starting in Nov, but you may as well start letting them you want to hear it now!
More soon!

PS. I love community and college radio, where the DJs and Program Directors can still play what they like!
Kamiah, Idaho radio station 88.7 KIYE will be playing ‘Hear Me Now’. I love small independent radio stations that can still play what the DJ wants to play rather than the corporate overlords.
Idaho friends, tune in and request!
