I just got an email from a show booker in Los Angeles asking me to sell 50 tix for a show at $15/ticket. I wouldn’t get any of the ticket money, BUT I’d get to keep 100% of my merch sales. Sounds like a great deal to me. Maybe they’d also let me wash the dishes after? Bookers like this are why LA is a live music wasteland.
Would somebody please throw Dobby a sock? (Harry Potter friends will understand).

It’s a glorious day for rooftop tea and ukulele noodling in the sunshine. This is a really nice planet, we need to be a little nicer to it and enjoy it more.

I know. Eating Cherry Garcia ice cream at 3AM after a fun night of singing songs and hanging out with cool people is a little excessive.
But I also wonder how many servings of fruit there are in Cherry Garcia?

Perhaps I stomp my feet too much when I’m playing guitar, especially when I’m having fun on stage. I just noticed a huge bruise on the bottom of my foot, it’ll heal quickly, but I should probably restrain a little.
Maybe I’ll just wear thicker socks.

I know this is a few days late, but really, it’s alway a good time to be happy about Spring!
I just got back from Portland, Oregon, a couple of days ago but not before I saw some new flowers enjoying the sunshine:

I had a great show at Shonna’s Poker and Pub with BJ and we met a bunch of lovely people and had a fun jam at the end with some musicians in the audience. I can’t wait to get back soon!
Love,
SJ
PS. I’ll be busy this Spring with a bunch of live shows, check the schedule and let’s hang out!:
Seattle, you deserve this celebration, whether it’s for supporting a winning Super Bowl team, or just all of the other rad things that you do!

Now that this sporty stuff is out of the way, it’s time to get back to the music (what Seattle does best!) because we’re going to need more tunes for all the parties.
Love,
SJ
