I let the desert take control yesterday

I let the desert take control yesterday. A friend took me out to check out a really cool studio near Joshua Tree. It’s a fun place to ride dirt bikes, throw some horse shoes, shoot guns, drink Mexican beer by a fire pit, and make some music. It’s also mystical and comfortably unsettling. The desert carves the spirit of man. I am back at the sea today, but yesterday was a fun glimpse into the future, I’m looking forward to going back.

I hope to see you this Thursday at the House of Blues on Sunset: https://www.sjatr.com/hob

I’ve been in Seattle for the past week or so, and in typical Seattle fashion it’s been grey and drizzly at least half the time I’ve been here. But in typical Saint John fashion, I’ve been super happy that we’ve had any sun at all. It’s ok though, I’m here to work on some music and see family, not to work on my tan. We have some really good things brewing (very much like the pacific northwest breweries that seem to have beers in every bar in this town) with more recording and planning a tour etc.

What have you been up to?

Love,

SJ
