What’s Going On?: September Gloom/Grey Labour Day

It’s the oddest summer in Venice that I’ve ever experienced. It’s been grey and gloomy almost all Summer, with the exception of maybe two weeks of sunshine. While the rest of the USA has been experiencing wicked heat waves, we’ve been bundling up in 60F overcast days. I took a bus a few weeks ago and on the bus a man saying that he was a shaman told me it was my fault. Fortunately, I have meteorologists to provide evidence of more explicable phenomena.

So what else is going on? Oh yeah, the little festival I’ve been organising called Venicestock:

http://www.facebook.com/venicestock and http://venicestock2010.com

We have some bands, we have a stage, we have some folks who want to dance and enjoy some music, now we’re just hoping for some sunshine.

There’s only six days left to get everything together so I should probably get back to work on this grey Labour Day.

Talk to you soon, and I hope to see you at Venicestock 2010!!!

Cheers,

SJ
