I Just Have To Say

I just have to say, tonight’s show at the Can Can was pure fun. First, Jabi Shriki and his band were super cool and sounded delicious, and they had Eric Stone on bass tonight and it is ALWAYS a treat to hear him play, we didn’t want them to stop.

But they did, and then it was our turn, and we just got right up there and had ourselves a bit of a hoedown, maybe even a hootenanny. Benjamin Rud, Hobbs, BJ, and Phil Hirschi mixed together a little bit of music magic for us tonight; I’ll be soaking it in for a little while. I am very much looking forward to next time…which brings us to:

We’ll see you at Blue Moon on Friday Jan 25, and then we’ll be having a nice little party in Olympia at the Pink Pig on Saturday the 26th, and that show will also be with Jabi. Good frikkin times indeed.

Be good until then.

So Many Good People

Tonight was tremendously fun, thanks to all the folks who came out to the Blarney Stone, we had a great time playing songs for you!

And man oh man, I have to say that I personally had a particularly fun time tonight, my band was so good, I just couldn’t stop smiling. Thank you muchly to Benjamin, Phil, and BJ, I am looking forward to our next rehearsal, see you Sunday. And Phil got an extra gold star for bringing home made cookies, so delicious.

And thanks to the Naked Feel Goods for having us out tonight and putting on a great show!

We’ll see you next week at the Can Can under Pike Place Market, be good until then.

Love,

SJ

Revelating on a Sunday Afternoon

Dear friends, first off, I started my Sunday with the
realization that Red Rose Speedway by Paul McCartney is on Spotify.
Playlist saved, locked on repeat. And then we had a great rehearsal
this afternoon. This band is fekkin great, come and check out one
of our upcoming shows: www.sjatr.com/shows

After that, I got back and finished off a new song, and now I’m
just listening to Red Rose Speedway again with a cup of tea and I’m
going to finish a book lent to me by Phil Hirschi (who will be
playing cello at these upcoming shows with us).

As you can probably guess, I like the subject matter of the book.

Sunday.

If every day could be as good as today…

Hobbs, Benjamin Rud, and I shot a quick live video
today, I’ll post it soon. I’m looking forward to shooting some more with them.

And then I spent the afternoon playing some songs
with Phil Hirschi from John McLaughlin’s Mahavishnu Orchestra on
cello. That was super fun, as always. Phil is going to play some
shows with us in January, which will be pretty rad.

And then Phil dropped me at my solo acoustic show downtown at The Corner Bar and
I got to try out some new songs, and I met some very lovely folks.

Good stuff.

And now I’m going to watch the season finale of Dexter.

More soon!
